Rafał Bubnicki

deputy director of film production in the Odra-Film

Rafał Bubnicki is a graduate from the Polish philology at the University of Wrocław (1982). As a journalist worked for several polish newspapers, such as „Solidarność” (1981-1990), „Rzeczpospolita” (1990-2007) and Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty (Radio Wolna Europa) (1991-1995).

He is academic teacher of journalism at at the University of Wrocław and at the University of Lower Silesia (Dolnośląska Szkoła Wyższa) (1997-2008).
Co-author of several books and albums e.g.:. „Teatr mój widzę kuliście. 60 lat Wrocławskiego Teatru Pantomimy” (2016). Rafał is also an author of books e.g.: „Nie bacząc na fortuny razy. Mieczysław Zlat 1927-2014” (2016), and an editor (together with Andrzej Dębski) of „Stanisław Lenartowicz. Twórca osobny” (2011) and „Sylwester Chęciński” (2015).

Since 2008 Rafał Bubnicki directs in the Odra-Film the Lower Silesian Film Competition (Dolnośląski Konkurs Filmowy) and – from 2013 – Wroclaw Film Commision. Recently Odra-Film, became co-producer nearly sixty feature, documentary and animated films, e.g.: „Sala samobójców”, „80 milionów”, „Wołyń”, „Sługi boże”, „Ja, Olga Hepnarova” and „Pokot”.
